Under the Licensing Act 2003, there is a statutory requirement for anyone selling alcohol, or authorising others to sell alcohol, to obtain a qualification that has the accreditation of the Secretary of State. This is known as the Award for Personal Licence Holders.

English your second language?

We are delighted to offer two ways to get this qualification.  The first is the normal attendance on one of our tutor led scheduled courses, the other is Self Study.  We have developed our distance learning pack which delegates can work through as fast or as slowly as they wish and test their knowledge with a series of questions after each section.  This allows those with English as a second language or those with special learning needs to study at their own pace, in their own time.  All that is then required is for the delegate to attend any of our examinations which are held at over 32 training centres across the UK on a regular basis.

One delegate attending full course £175 inc

One delegate self study - examination only £150 inc

Subsequent delegates attending full course £150 pp inc

Subsequent delegates - self study - exam only £125 pp inc

Assessment

Assessment is by a 40 minute, 40 question multiple choice examination paper.

Candidates are required to score a minimum of 28 from 40 questions in order to gain the APLH certificate.
